Adds or subtracts Malta authority-scope working days in exact coverage. Required mon_fri_planning; named holidays and Sunday statutory status remain distinct. Personal leave and bank-only dates are not computed.

When to use

You need a deterministic Malta working-day offset.

Do not use when: Malta 2026 named statutory holidays and Sunday public-holiday status over an explicitly selected Monday-Friday planning baseline BEFORE individual annual or compensatory leave. Additional vacation entitlement for a named holiday on a weekly rest day depends on the person's employment and roster; no next-Monday or later leave date is assigned. Bank-only, school, local, employer and shift calendars, hours, payroll, personal entitlements and legal deadlines are not computed. Future years require a separately verified package.

FAQ

Why are there more public-holiday dates than fourteen?

The official year table contains fourteen named holidays (five national and nine other scheduled dates). Cap.252 also declares Sundays public holidays. Separate flags preserve the distinction without double-counting a named holiday on Sunday.

Is the next Monday automatically off?

No uniform substitute Monday is assigned here. Extra vacation leave can depend on the individual's normal roster and employment conditions; this package neither denies nor calculates that entitlement or its later use date.

Does the count represent an employee's annual attendance?

No. It is an explicit Monday-Friday planning count before individual annual leave, compensatory leave and employer/sector arrangements.

Are bank, school and future-year calendars included?

No. This profile covers the general 2026 statutory calendar only. Unverified years are rejected rather than filled using estimates.
