Global Working Days Between Dates

Counts weekday-baseline working days in a date range for any supported CLDR alpha-2 territory code, with explicit endpoint rules and no hidden holiday assumptions.

When to use

You need a worldwide weekday-based count for a stated territory and public holidays are intentionally outside scope.

Do not use when: The count must reflect public holidays, substitute days, employer closures, bank settlement, exchange, school or religious calendars.

How many weekday-baseline working days are between 2026-10-01 and 2026-10-15 in AE?
Count Saudi weekday working days from 2026-06-01 through 2026-06-30.

Formula

for each included date: working_days += not is_weekend; non_working_days += is_weekend

Normalize reversed endpoints, apply endpoint inclusion flags and count only the CLDR weekend pattern. Public holidays are not inferred.

Are endpoints included?

Yes by default; set either flag false to exclude it.

Does this count national holidays?

This is a global weekday baseline, not a public-holiday, bank-settlement, exchange, school, employer, religious or emergency-closure calendar. Use a jurisdiction-specific evidence package when holiday exclusions matter.
