Counts authority-scope working and non-working dates in a range.

When to use

You need an auditable Denmark working-day count.

Do not use when: Nationwide statutory list only. Collective-agreement, employer, sector, school, bank, local and customary half-day closures are not inferred; Store Bededag is not a holiday from 2024 onward.

Count Denmark working days around Ascension Day.
Count Denmark working days around Constitution Day is not a statutory holiday.

Formula

for each included date: working_days += status.is_working_day

Normalize endpoints and count exact authority events over the declared weekday baseline.

Are May 1, Constitution Day, Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve public holidays?

No. The official Danish government guidance says these dates are not statutory public holidays; an agreement or employer can still grant time off.
