When to use

You need an auditable Portugal working-day count.

Do not use when: Mandatory nationwide list only. Municipal, autonomous-region, collective-agreement, employer and locally substituted holiday schedules are not inferred.

for each included date: working_days += status.is_working_day

Normalize endpoints and count exact authority events over the declared weekday baseline.

FAQ

Does this include Carnival Tuesday or Lisbon municipal day?

No. Portuguese law treats Carnival Tuesday and the municipal holiday as optional through collective regulation or contract; this package includes only the mandatory nationwide list.
