When to use

You need an auditable Japan statutory national-holiday working-day count.

Do not use when: You need a company, school, bank, exchange or prefectural closure calendar.

Formula

for each included date: working_days += Japan national status.is_working_day

Normalize endpoints, apply endpoint flags, and count the pinned Japan calendar over the CLDR weekend baseline.
