## Purpose

Counts authority-scope working and non-working dates in a range.

**Use when:** You need an auditable Sri Lanka working-day count.

**Do not use when:** This is a combined official holiday-class calendar, not a universal private-employer closure rule. Public, bank and mercantile classifications remain in each event kind; the March 18, March 25 and April 1 fuel-conservation entries apply to government offices only and the schedule was cancelled effective April 8. Essential services, schools, private employers, sector agreements, local arrangements and later unlisted notices are not inferred. The additional day after the National Vesak Festival is not invented beyond the published May 2 calendar entry.
