## Purpose

Counts authority-scope working and non-working dates in a range.

**Use when:** You need an auditable Netherlands working-day count.

**Do not use when:** A public holiday is not automatically a paid day off for every Dutch employee. CAO, employment contract, sector, employer, school, bank and municipal schedules are not inferred; Liberation Day arrangements may be five-year/CAO dependent.

A public holiday is not automatically a paid day off for every Dutch employee. CAO, employment contract, sector, employer, school, bank and municipal schedules are not inferred; Liberation Day arrangements may be five-year/CAO dependent. Normalize endpoints and count exact authority events over the declared weekday baseline. All values are computed from the formula above; no measurement or live data is involved.

## FAQ

**Does this prove an employee is legally off work?**

No. It identifies an official public holiday. Check the applicable CAO or employment contract for the employee day-off rule.
